MANVY NGUYEN
Associate

ManVy is a product of Oakland public schools. She graduated from McClymonds High School in 2002 and obtained her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Education from UC Berkeley. ManVy served as mentor and tutor to Oakland students through East Bay Consortium and through her former high school during her college years. ManVy enjoyed working with students, knowing that in one way or another, she is making a difference in these students' lives.

Before coming to Performance Fact, ManVy worked as a Payment Specialist for a Child Care Coordinating Agency in Alameda County. As a Payment Specialist, ManVy worked with low-income parents from different backgrounds and cultures. ManVy was glad to be able to be there and provide the services for these parents in order to advance themselves.

What Calls Me to Education?

"I learn from, understand, and value the quote "One day as a teacher is one lifetime as a teacher." Teachers play one of the most direct and influential roles in our society. It is very important that our teachers have all the support and training they need to do their job well to deliver the knowledge and power to the next generation, the future leaders of our society."

At Performance Fact, Inc., ManVy is responsible for general office operations, contract management and is the executive assistant to the President/CEO. ManVy loves working with her team members because everyone is full of knowledge, experience, and passion in making changes in the public education system.

ManVy was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Oakland with her family in 1995. She's currently working full time at Performance Fact while taking classes at night to complete prerequisites for Natural Medicine School.
